SeedBlink realiseert game-changer voor Nederlandse investeerders in startups
Amsterdam, 10 maart - Het Europese investeringsplatform SeedBlink biedt in een vroege fase liquiditeit aan particuliere investeerders in startup-investeringen, een van de meest illiquide beleggingscategorieën, en herschrijft daarmee de regels die deze beleggingscategorie al tientallen jaren definiëren. "De ontwikkeling van de secundaire markt op SeedBlink sluit aan op ons doel investeerders en tech startups efficiënt te verbinden op één enkel Europees platform. Zo bouwen we een financieel ecosysteem dat de ontwikkeling van een Europese tech hub zal ondersteunen", stelt Ionut Patrahau, medeoprichter en managing partner van SeedBlink.
SeedBlink is een nieuwkomer op de Nederlandse markt, maar een bekende naam in Oost-Europa als investeringsplatform voor Europese tech startups. Het platform slaat een brug tussen tech bedrijven en investeerders, stimuleert zo groei en helpt daarmee een Europese tech hub te creëren. SeedBlink wil daartoe investeringsdiensten aanbieden op het hele Europese continent, op de meest efficiënte manier. Met de recente overname van de Nederlandse crowdfundpionier Symbid biedt SeedBlink nu ook Nederlandse bedrijven en investeerders toegang tot een Europees investeringsnetwerk.
Slechts vijf maanden na het verkrijgen van de ECSPR-licentie (European Crowdfunding Service Providers Regulation), lanceert SeedBlink nu zijn secundaire markt volgens de eisen van deze richtlijn, met een focus op exclusieve tech deals over het hele continent. Deals die worden ondersteund door een selectieve pool van bekende durfkapitalisten. "Liquiditeit was een van de grootste wensen van individuele investeerders om hun portefeuilles met startups verder te diversifiëren" legt Patrahau uit.
Investeerders kunnen op elk moment online aangeven dat ze willen kopen of verkopen op de secundaire markt. Elke drie maanden voert SeedBlink de handelingen uit die nodig zijn om de eigendomsoverdracht te verwezenlijken. "De Europese exclusieve tech focus van het platform en de directe onderhandelingsmogelijkheden onderscheiden het van andere secundaire markten. Ons investeringsaanbod bestaat voornamelijk uit deals die door durfkapitalisten worden gesteund", voegt Patrahau toe.
Uitbreiding naar Nederland als hoeksteen van Europese ambitie
Patrahau: "Het is belangrijk dat tech startups kunnen rekenen op Europese financiering, zodat we deze bedrijven niet verliezen aan de VS of Azië. De groei van de Europese tech sector ziet er veelbelovend uit, maar de versnippering van de investeringsmarkt over landen met elk hun eigen regelgeving, is niet echt bevorderlijk. De uitdaging is daarom om een Europees netwerk op te bouwen met lokale vertegenwoordigingen in elk land”, stelt Patrahau. SeedBlink breidde onlangs uit naar Nederland met de overname van de Nederlandse crowdfundpionier Symbid. Patrahau ziet Nederland als een natuurlijk bruggenhoofd om uit te breiden in West-Europa: "Nederland heeft een uitstekende infrastructuur, goed opgeleide mensen en Amsterdam is een toonaangevende tech hub binnen Europa."
In januari kondigde het platform zijn eerste Nederlandse deal aan met de lokale startup Productpine. Het Nederlandse online winkelplatform heeft tot nu toe kapitaal opgehaald bij een diverse groep Nederlandse, Duitse, Oostenrijkse, Amerikaanse en Roemeense investeerders. Onlangs lanceerde ook het Amsterdamse Authic Labs een ronde op het platform, en naar verwachting zullen er snel meer Nederlandse deals volgen.
