Woli, the Greek FinTech startup creating the banking experience for the new generation, is raising funding of €1M through SeedBlink’s platform, bringing efficient banking solutions to the youth, with the purpose to simplify money management and make savings as stress-free as possible.
They offer licensed smart money solutions for teens and parents, building the banking expe-rience for the new generation which also enables them to grow their financial literacy. The company provides a comprehensive solution for kids and teens co-managed by parents, in-cluding a debit card and a financial education platform.
"Technology has revolutionized the way we conduct our daily lives and is changing the way kids and teens spend money. To follow the trends, parents need to adapt to these changes and embrace innovative ways to educate their kids about personal finance", said Vasilis Zoupas, co-founder & CEO at Woli.
The company’s founding team consists of FinTech professionals with entrepreneurial experi-ence. In terms of traction, the startup has +1,000 cards in circulation and +€100,000 pay-ment volume processed so far. Woli’s main competitive advantage is the broader product proposition, offering full access to all features, including educational platform and family ser-vices.
Woli’s services apply to a specific market with great size, since the youth banking industry in the EEA (European Economic Area), currently represents a €1.3Bn opportunity, with a total addressable market of 26 million kids and teens. The company is planning a European ex-pansion by end of 2023, entering the market of other Mediterranean countries like Italy, Spain and Portugal.
"A new industry, neobanking for young people, is emerging. We are thrilled to give private Greek investors the chance to take part in Woli's expansion into Mediterranean Europe and to assist them in educating young people about money management through useful tools like budgeting. Their solution at the intersection of FinTech and EdTech could really impact the future in a healthy way.” said George Platanas, Country Manager Greece.
SeedBlink is helping tech startups like Woli, driven by the desire to shape tech innovation in Europe by building a financial infrastructure that allows investors, founders and partners ac-cess to the opportunities, tools and services for equity investments.
