February Newsletter: Rooting for peace

We are fully supportive of the efforts to assist the Ukrainian people and to protect the values of human dignity, democracy, respect of the law, and freedom, at risk due to the current Russian military aggression.

We are shocked and saddened by the events unfolding in 🇺🇦 and are fully supportive of the efforts to assist the Ukrainian people and to protect the values of human dignity, democracy, respect of the law, and freedom, at risk due to the current Russian military aggression.

From our community, we are reaching out to Ukrainian - investors, portfolio companies with employees there, journalists we have interacted with, and VC partners - to express our solidarity and support. If you have not already, please consider donating to the organizations supporting the displaced families and the people fighting bravely for these values in Ukraine; an excellent starting point is here, but do ping us if you need more suggestions. Proud to be surrounded by fellow Romanians outpouring of compassion and willing to mobilize for supporting the refugees crossing our borders.

I am, again, humbled to be part of this community - close to 10,000 backers from 50 countries - driven by the power of ideas and the courage to work together for a better future, through innovation. Hoping that we can brighten your day at least a bit, we start a series to showcase members of our community and their updates.

#StandWithUkraine 💙💛

Much love to you and yours,

Andrei Dudoiu,

Managing Partner & President of BoD, SeedBlink

We are glad to introduce members of our investor's community. Today we share some early adopters and their thoughts on why they are excited to be part of SeedBlink.

Nevenca Doca, Executive HR Director: "I admire the diversity of startups, industries, and geographies, and the fact that we get the chance to invest early, with accessible tickets, in companies with growth mindsets and visionary teams."

Daniel Mereuță, Country Director at TDCX Romania: "In addition to curated deals, SeedBlink also offers learning opportunities. You need to think about the opportunity, evaluate and analyze documents while attending founders’ live pitches. This environment is lively and full of benefits, and often allows you to earn while learning."

SeedBlink Club – New add-on

At the beginning of February, we invited some of you to give us feedback and get early access to a new product we plan to roll out in April – SeedBlink Club meant to support higher portfolio diversification. Given the positive reactions and enrolments, we are extending the offer (discount 25% until the end of March) for early adopters to all of you.

Extended Funding Committee

Another experiment we are working on is to give you a preview for some of the startups in our pipeline and invite you to share your feedback for us to better match the opportunities we bring on the platform but also to find domain experts who want an active role in our Funding committee and post-investment as mentors and advisors for the startups. Check the pilot here.

MyPortfolio Update

Following the customer survey from the beginning of the year, one common feedback was to provide insights into the startups’ evolution and the respective investments. This is a priority for us, and we are working hard to update “My Portfolio” to show follow-on participation and new reports offering deeper insights into your funded startups. The plan is to release these new features by the end of March; meanwhile, please check the quarterly reports from the Alumni and their requests for support.
