ROTTERDAM, 6 februari - SeedBlink kondigt haar eerste Nederlandse investeringsdeal aan, en wel met de Nederlandse startup Productpine. Dit Nederlandse online shopping platform zal het kapitaal gebruiken voor opschaling, om de indrukwekkende groei te kunnen voortzetten. "Dit is onze eerste fundraising deal in de Nederlandse markt, en illustreert hoe we Europese bedrijven en investeerders succesvol bij elkaar brengen", stelt Andrei Dudoiu, managing director van SeedBlink. "Productpine is goed gepositioneerd om te profiteren van de vergroening van de direct-to-consumer shopping-sector, een marktsegment met een omvang van 60 miljard euro."
SeedBlink heeft kantoren in Roemenië, Bulgarije, Griekenland en Nederland. Het Europese co-investeringsplatform biedt brede toegang tot kapitaal voor startups en investeringsmogelijkheden voor investeerders. De investeringsronde met Productpine is SeedBlink’s eerste in Nederland. De kapitaaltoezeggingen aan de Nederlandse startup kwamen tot nu toe van Nederlandse (35%), Amerikaanse (15%), Duitse (10%), Roemeense (20%) en Oostenrijkse investeerders (20%).

De technologie van Productpine bespaart direct-to-consumer merken tot 75% van hun marketingkosten. Merken kunnen via het platform samenwerken om advertentiekosten te delen, waardoor ze echt besparen en onafhankelijk van bedrijven als Facebook, Google en Amazon kunnen groeien.
Bedrijf met veel potentieel en duurzame ambitie
Direct-to-consumer (DTC) wordt de voorkeurskeuze voor merken in e-commerce, met een voorspeld marktaandeel van 50% in 2025. Productpine is actief in de Benelux en zal in 2024 uitbreiden naar Duitsland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Bestaande klanten zijn Sonos, Sennheiser, Ring, BaByliss, Moleskine en Polaroid. Het bedrijf biedt volledige CO2-compensatie van elke bestelling door een gedeelte van de marketingbesparingen van merken te investeren in duurzaamheidsprojecten. Consumenten dragen zo bij aan een betere wereld zonder extra te betalen.

Productpine haalde €2,5 miljoen op in een eerdere 'seed-investeringsronde' in februari 2022. Die financiering werd toen geleid door Acequia Capital – dat eerder investeerde in Airbnb, Pinterest en Classpass en NFQ Capital – naast private investeerders als Stefan van den Berg (oprichter van Afterpay) en Kalo Bagijn (oprichter van BinckBank en Brand New Day). De huidige post-seed investeringsronde richt zich op €2 miljoen en is gestructureerd in een SAFE-overeenkomst (convertibles). Meer dan €1,7 miljoen is reeds toegezegd door bestaande en nieuwe investeerders.
