Investment Portfolio

An investment portfolio is a set of financial assets owned by an investor, including bonds, stocks, currencies, cash, and commodities. The investor - or their financial advisor - needs to make sure that there is a good mix of assets to maintain balance, which helps foster capital growth within limited or controlled risk.

There can be different types of portfolios such as growth, income, or value portfolio. To create a great portfolio, one needs to pay attention to diversification, objectives, the size of the investments, risks, and so on.
