Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)

CAC refers to the costs incurred to acquire a customer. This is an important business metric because it measures the value that specific customer comes with. You determine this cost by dividing sales and marketing expenses (expenses used to attract customers) with the number of new customers in a period.
