Investment Associate

We are looking for an Investment Associate to expand SeedBlink's startup portfolio in Romania.

Your role will be to find new startups that match SeedBlink's investment thesis and seek to raise pre-seed to Series B funding rounds. You will be responsible for the entire deal process, from sourcing and analyzing companies to closing deals. In doing so, you will work with some of the most ambitious people in Romania: Founders, VCs and Accelerators to find investment opportunities in a rapidly evolving environment for tech startups. About SeedBlink

SeedBlink is a high-growth investment platform specializing in sourcing, vetting, funding and scaling European tech startups. We help founders raise or close their investment rounds by leveraging our unique and fast-growing network of investors. What we are looking for:

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen interest in startups and technology, preferably through previous VC or startup investment (angel, incubator, accelerator), consulting or investment banking experience;
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the tech startup scene (as part of an VC, an accelerator or a startup itself), consulting or investment banking experience. We value engagement and an existing network in a local or general European startup ecosystem and are therefore open to other backgrounds;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English and the ability to think in business terms;
• Evidence of personal, academic and professional achievements and a clear drive to learn and develop;
• Confidence in using analysis and numbers and the ability to make decisions based on both intuition and data;
• Sales, business development and negotiation skills;
• Good networking and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

A. Deal Sourcing and Evaluation

• Proactively search for interesting startups based on SeedBlink investment thesis, qualitative or quantitative metrics and founders' merits in Romania.
• Nurture your existing network in the tech startup ecosystem to identify great entrepreneurs and partners at an early stage
• Analyze incoming deals and get a quick picture of new tech business models to identify and evaluate opportunities

B. Transactions

• Research and compile investment memos for submission to the investment committee
• Manage due diligence workflows for investment opportunities
• Support internal transaction flow from investment documentation to legal reviews to investment and business transactions
