  • The Benefito SIM card has spread throughout Romania through a strategic partnership with MOL Romania. In addition, customers who refuel for at least 100 lei will receive a bonus credit of 10 lei when they recharge the SIM at www.benefito-mobile.ro.
  • Dronamics to launch Black Swan in Q4. The company, which already has an agreement with DHL, aims to begin operations by the end of the year, when it will have received certification to operate drone flights in European airspace. It will take longer to get permission to fly in the U.K. after Brexit, but Dronamics expects to do so by the end of 2023. The company was recently praised by CarbonNeutral, a company that gives awards for companies' intent to reduce carbon emissions. Read more.
  • ialoc.ro is one of the startups that helped businesses a lot during the pandemic. They have a favorable position in the market with their booking solution for HoReCa, but they had a few difficult years. Now they are launching a QR payment solution for restaurants and are looking for investments. Read more.
  • FLOWX.AI will use IBM Cloud for financial services to help customers accelerate innovation. Key findings from a recent internal analysis by IBM indicate that approximately 60% of these future market opportunities will be in the cloud, as financial institutions accelerate innovation to meet increased customer expectations, deliver consistent services in the face of challenges such as the global pandemic, and navigate the increasingly complex regulatory environment.   • OTP Group leverages the FLOWX.AI platform to orchestrate customer experience as key enabler for its digital growth. OTP Group, one of the largest independent financial services companies in Central Europe, today announced that it has partnered with FLOWX. AI, the low-code/no-code provider in the enterprise space, accelerates and redesign its digital experiences for customers and employees. OTP Group operates in 11 countries and serves more than 16 million customers through its network of more than 1,500 stores and 40,000 employees. Read more.
  • KFactory recently gave an interview to Recursive. The Romanian startup with a mission to modernize manufacturing presented its services and addressed beneficiaries. One of the company's hallmarks is its Team of Virtual Engineers, a platform that connects to all data sources in manufacturing companies and helps them make the most of that data. After successfully operating in Romania for the last five years, the startup now plans to use the fresh funds for its international expansion in the DACH market. Read more.
  • Kinderpedia aims to have a global presence by 2022. Evelina Necula spoke at ZF about their expansion plans, saying, "2021 was the year we centrally talked to the Maple Bear team about global scaling potential. The Maple Bear network includes 550 schools in 35 markets worldwide. These schools will gradually be added to Kinderpedia.” Read more.
  • Mihai Cepoi, CEO of Jobful, a platform that helps companies recruit, warned at Smart Future about the risks the pandemic poses to the labor market and the need for Romania to have legislation that is open to workers and talent from around the world. Read more.
  • MOCAPP launched L!NK, an innovative technology solution for the European eCommerce market. The new L!NK app uses a unique algorithm that anonymously scans the customer base of online stores. It also allows them to find out which of their customers are popular on social media and can be most effectively engaged in promotion, loyalty, affiliation and sales. The initial investment in the development of L!NK is 120,000 euros. The startup aims to attract customers from 30 countries and break even with this product after the first year since launch.
  • Procesio is excited to announce our latest partnership with Growceanu Angel Investment. The Growceanu team has implemented PROCESIO to both streamline internal operations and develop the processes behind the Business Angle platform. Read more.
  • Sanopass has announced a new strategic partnership with one of the most prestigious insurance companies in Romania and Europe. Generali Romania has launched its new health insurance Generali protect, which offers more flexibility to policyholders. The Romanian healthtech startup also plans to launch in Metaverse. The company opened a new funding round in March to raise €3 million from investors.
  • YLOAD was selected from more than 100 global companies to present the company at TechTrour Maritime, Trade and Logistics on June 1, 2022. Tech Tour is one of the largest investor-focused communities in Europe, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and corporate partners from around the world. More than 2000 high-tech companies apply and 750 investors participate in the Tech events each year.
